About Event

Gradvine in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University brings you an information session on one of the world’s finest Engineering Management programs! Join the Program Directors themselves to understand the program structure, career outcomes, life at JHU, and other critical details about the Johns Hopkins MS in Engineering Management program.

The speakers are Pamela Sheff, the Director of MSEM and the Center for Leadership Education at JHU & Trevor Mackesey, a Senior Lecturer in the Center for Leadership Education, and Co-Director of MSEM. They will be joined by Lindsey Menzies who is the Academic Program Administrator for the MSEM. Speakers Profiles:
Pamela Sheff is the director of the Center for Leadership Education, as well as the Master of Science in Engineering Management Program. Sheff is an award-winning writer and marketing communications consultant, with a wealth of experience developing marketing, public relations, and communications strategies for clients ranging from start-ups to large corporate, institutional, and government organizations. She has taught business communications for private companies and directed the Writing Program at Goucher College. Sheff is also a founder and current Board member of the Prison Education Partnership, an organization devoted to providing college education to incarcerated men and women. She earned her PhD from Harvard University.

Trevor Mackesey, a senior lecturer in the Center for Leadership Education, is a veteran of the financial services industry. As a financial consultant, he delivered personalized advice and service on a variety of investment and risk management solutions, focusing on the management, preservation, and transfer of wealth for high net worth individuals and businesses. Mackesey combines his professional experience in communication with graduate studies in creative writing to develop and deliver strategies to help engineers and scientists communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. His short fiction has been published in multiple journals and recognitions include the Guy Lemmon Award for Public Writing, two appointments to SunTrust Bank’s Chairman’s Team, and a fellowship to travel and teach throughout Nepal. He is a member of the Homewood Council on Inclusive Excellence. He received a BA at Colby College; a MLitt at the University of St. Andrews; and an MFA at Indiana University.
