About Event

In Croatia, Roma face discrimination in all spheres of life, including school segregation and discrimination in employment. Negative stereotypes and xenophobic attitudes remain widespread, leading to social exclusion and socio-economic disparities. Yet, most cases of discrimination against Roma go unreported.

Why are people from the community reluctant to report these cases? Why are equality bodies met with criticism and distrust? What obstacles do Roma face in their access to justice?

Join us for our panel discussion about our findings in Croatia on 21 October. Our distinguished keynote speakers from the national equality body and the EU will address these questions.

Learn about the outcomes and outlooks of our new ground-breaking report directly from our local partner, Information Legal Center (Croatia) and Amalipe Center for Interethnic Dialogue and Tolerance (Bulgaria). Discuss how different stakeholders can combat discrimination against the Roma and find out about opportunities aiming to ensure that no discrimination case remains unreported.

This event will be available in English and Croatian.
