The event will include a panel discussion featuring experienced leaders who will share their experiences, insights, and vision for the rapidly evolving AI landscape. Following the panel, there will be an open Q&A session and time for networking to meet like-minded individuals. Whether you're already working in AI or just curious about how to get started, come to be inspired, learn, and join a community that champions diversity and inclusion in tech.
Our Panelists
Roja Bandari, Ph. D. is an engineering leader with over a decade of experience building systems and teams with machine learning at their core. Her work spans multiple industries, including fintech, healthcare, and social media, with roles at Stripe, Apple, Lyra Health, and Twitter. Most recently, she served as Director of Engineering at Stripe, where she led an innovative and high performing org of machine learning and software engineers responsible for the company's entire financial risk estimation and optimization.
Pamela Vagata co-founded Pebblebed, an early stage venture firm backing technical founders. With experience spanning the OpenAI team and leading Stripe's AI efforts, she brings hands-on perspective to emerging technologies. At Microsoft, she worked on the compiler for GPU workloads on HPC clusters using CUDA, while at Facebook she created FBLearner Flow for deploying AI in production. Drawing from her experience in both AI and infrastructure, she explores the intersection of cutting-edge research and deployable solutions.
Roopa Chandra is currently a Production Engineer on GenAI at Meta, specializing in large language models (LLMs) and scaling cutting-edge AI technologies. She also has multiple years of experience in machine learning at Instagram, where she has contributed to key advancements in relevance and recommendation systems, shaping user experiences on one of the world's largest social platforms.
