About Event

What should participants expect?

We will meet at Golygfa Gwydyr at 10.30am. There will be the opportunity to catch a minibus to visit our site in the magical Gwydyr Forest (Caerdroia). This is weather dependent, we may pick a spot in forest closer to town if needed.

At Caerdroia we can spend some time exploring the forest and trees for inspiration to be creative. We will have some time to create some work up in the forest and there will also be an opportunity to head back to Golygfa Gwydyr for the afternoon to use materials we have in the building to start creating. There is no pressure, this is up to each individual what they want to do and there is definitely no right or wrong. It's an opportunity to create and share if you wish to.

Coming up to Caerdroia is a great way to experience the forest and we would encourage this but if you can't make it we invite you to find a tree close to home or we will have photos available in Golygfa Gwydyr too inspire you, you can then join us for the creative session at Golygfa Gwydyr from 1.30pm. Creative materials will be provided.

Booking is essential for the minibus up to site and a space back at Golygfa Gwydyr - it will be free of charge. When you register you can select if you'd like to book a space on the minibus.

If planning to join us in the morning please bring warm and waterproof clothing as it is winter and the weather can change up there. There is a small shelter, fire, basic refreshments and a compost loo up there. Feel free to bring some food to keep you going.

These sessions are held outdoors for people to understand and gain the benefits of being in nature. We currently work with the local community (all ages), housing association groups and veterans."
