Workshop: The Art of the Commonplace Book with Lindsey Trout Hughes
Commonplace books are personal notebooks that act as a collection of knowledge—ideas, quotes, anecdotes, and passages, gathered and copied down for individual use.
Join writer and editor Lindsey Trout Hughes of Fox in the Dark for a 60-minute workshop on how and why to keep a commonplace book to deepen creativity.
We’ll explore the history of commonplacing, artistic benefits, and tools for developing your own commonplace book practice.
Please bring a new notebook, a pen, and a book you're excited to read.
This workshop is for writers, artists, and anyone interested in cultivating mindful reading habits and improving creative wellbeing.
Can't make it live? This workshop will be recorded. A link to the video and additional resources will be sent to all registrants afterward.
