​Chris Janczewski, Head of Global Investigations, TRM Labs

​Chris Janczewski is the Head of Global Investigations at TRM Labs, where he leads an elite team of investigators from major law enforcement and private sector organizations, including the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), UK's National Crime Agency, and Federal Police of Brazil.

​Prior to joining TRM, Chris had a distinguished 13-year career as a Special Agent with IRS Criminal Investigations (IRS-CI), where he led some of the most significant cryptocurrency investigations in history. His notable achievements include leading the investigation that resulted in the largest seizure in U.S. government history and spearheading the "Welcome to Video" takedown.

​Chris was instrumental in establishing an inter-agency cryptocurrency strike force with the Washington, D.C. United States Attorney's Office and has advised policymakers at the highest levels of government on cryptocurrency and cyber issues. His investigative methodologies have been extensively cited in the Department of Justice's "Cryptocurrency Enforcement Framework".

​His exceptional work has earned him numerous accolades, including:

  • ​Secretary's Honor Award from the Secretary of the Treasury (2020)

  • ​Chief's Investigative Excellence from IRS-CI (2020)

  • ​Meritorious Service Award from the Secretary of the Treasury (2019)

​Chris's expertise is frequently sought after, and he has been featured in various media, including Netflix's documentary "Biggest Heist Ever" about the Bitfinex hack.

​Shumin Lin, Director, Dispute Resolution, Drew & Napier

​Shumin has an active disputes practice and is experienced in complex contractual disputes, shareholder's disputes, company law issues, and tortious actions. She also has particular experience with cryptocurrency and blockchain disputes, and freezing injunctions. In addition, she has handled judicial reviews, competition investigations and dawn raids.  

​Shumin has acted for a wide range of clients from various industries before the Singapore Courts and in international arbitrations. This includes acting for companies in the web3, retail, hospitality, and shipping industries as well as venture capitalists.

​Joshua Foo, Head of GTM, APAC, Blockaid

​Joshua is the current Head of GTM APAC for Blockaid. He is a passionate advocate for the use of blockchain to transform lives in the area of finance and payments. Prior to joining Blockaid, he spent 18 in the cybersecurity space, managing cybersecurity for the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as providing solutions to government and private sector companies for companies like RSA, FireEye and Carbon Black.

​Angela Ang, Head of Policy and Strategic Partnerships, APAC, TRM Labs (Moderator)

​Angela leads Asia Pacific public policy and strategic partnerships for TRM Labs, a blockchain intelligence company that helps financial institutions, cryptocurrency businesses and public agencies detect and investigate crypto-related fraud and financial crime. Prior to TRM, Angela spent over a decade at the Monetary Authority of Singapore, where she held a diverse range of roles in regulatory policy, financial supervision, business development and consumer education, giving her deep insight into the full gamut of policymaking considerations for global financial regulators. Angela was recently recognised as a Linkedin Top Voice for Finance in Asia for her thought leadership on digital asset developments in the region.
