It is a round-robin style where mentors take turns reviewing portfolios submitted by the audience for 10-15mins and concluded with a short Q&A. Are you ready for this design critique session where we can all learn from each other's work and reflect on our own? We are!
About Our Mentors 🎙️
👉 Anastacia Grig 🇨🇦 - Senior Product Designer at ESL Library
Anastacia is originally from Russia, currently living in the beautiful Canada. She has a bachelor’s in Communications and master’s in Mobile interface design. She started as a marketing designer back in 2011, then transitioned to digital and fell in love with product design. She's designed interfaces for all types of companies – design studios, startups and enterprises.
Fun fact: She's participated in sports show that was shown on national television, her record was holding the plank position for 15 minutes, beating her opponent on the 9th minute 💪
👉 Roger Zhu 🇺🇸 - Product Designer at Facebook
Roger is originally from Hangzhou, China. His passion for design brought him to the east coast of the US for advanced study. He completed his master’s degree in Industrial Design with honour. In the past 7 years after school, he's designed apps, medical devices, and educational software. He teaches sketching at MIT, volunteers with the Boston Public Schools, and writes about design in tech.
Fun fact: He met Emma Watson at a CVS checkout line and chatted with her about which classes they want to take in fall semester 🎩
👉 Soren Iverson 🇺🇸 - Senior Product Designer at Square
Soren Iverson is a product designer with a background in art direction and motion design. Prior to Square, he built digital products in the entertainment, fintech, IoT, nonprofit, and telecommunications sector.
Fun Fact: He toured in Bulgaria and Turkey playing trombone in high school 🎼
