Sama Working Group for using ODR in Government Departments
Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) N V Ramana said , "Government is the biggest litigant in India accounting for nearly 50 per cent of pending cases." This is a huge problem for the country but ODR can alleviate this issue.
With your help and insights, we can collaboratively tackle the pending case backlog and equip departments with better, more sustainable, dispute resolution practices. Register now!
What is the Sama Working group?
To help government departments resolve disputes, we are creating a Sama Working Group of handpicked lawyers, retd. judges, case managers, technology experts and others to explore how we can help Government Departments across India resolve disputes using Online Dispute Resolution (ODR).
What experience does Sama have with government projects?
In the recent past, State Legal Services Authorities from Maharashtra, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and 7 other states have conduced Online Lok Adalats. The Madhya Pradesh Police is currently using Online Mediation in 1000+ thanas & the Department of Consumer Affairs recently settled pending consumer disputes online.
