Design-to-Code AI Hackathon
TDP, in collaboration with leading design and product communities, is hosting the "Design-to-Code AI Hackathon" - a transformative learning experience designed specifically for designers who want to overcome their fear of code through AI tools.
This unique hackathon addresses one of the biggest challenges facing designers today: the anxiety around translating designs into functional code. Many designers can expertly judge how something should look and work, but feel intimidated by the development process. Our event empowers designers to bridge this gap using AI coding assistants like Cursor, V0, and Lovable.
Unlike traditional hackathons, this event emphasizes learning, skill-building, and confidence development. Participants will have 36 hours to transform their designs into real prototypes with the help of AI tools and guided mentorship.

💭 What to build
In this hackathon, you'll leverage tools like Cursor, v0, and Lovable to translate your designs into working implementations. Choose between two paths:
Transform your own design project into a working prototype
Take on one of our pre-defined fictional MVP challenges
Find detailed inspiration and resources [HERE].
📜 Rules
You can compete individually or in teams of up to 3 people
Your submission must include design files, generated code, and documentation of your process
Finalists will present 10-minutes demos followed by 5-minutes Q&A
Judges will evaluate design-to-code translation quality, effective use of AI tools, implementation quality, presentation, and collaboration potential
