🤩 guest speakers (yc founder, tesla, and innovative bioplastics researcher):
eric, ceo of maverick biometals (yc s22), enabling a clean energy future with bioextraction. they use enzyms to chemically break down the crystal structure of ores and extract metals and nonmetals at near-ambient temperatures and conditions.
miranda is a mechanical design engineer at tesla doing battery cell product development. she will share her journey in helping design tesla batteries for electric vehicles and powerwalls for residential applications.
naila is a designer and researcher in advanced bioplastics from duckweed at pond biomaterials. she is also developing flexible solar cells. outside of stem she is the author of the “chronicles of illusions” duology.

🌊 a note from the organizer:
hey hey! i'm michael and i've run 100+ community experiences this year in sf bay area / silicon valley. i've also had the chance to coach some awesome startup founders and great investors.
i've seen a big gap between where the world is headed in areas of emerging tech and what's available in the college classroom. there's a difference between what founders and innovators are doing to solve large, impactful problems and what's available on campus.
the goal is to 🌉 bridge that gap. i'm building what i wish i had while in school. this is the first monthly summit of hopefully many to come in 2024.
