About Event

✨ The world feels heavy right now. The headlines, the uncertainty, the weight of everything happening around us and in our communities—it’s overwhelming. In the rush of it all, it’s easy to put ourselves last. But we can’t pour from an empty cup. ✨

Esto es para la comunidad, para el alma. A space to move, to breathe, to reset—together.

Hosted by Amigas In Tech (formerly Latinas In Tech Denver) and in partnership with space Denver, Sol y Sombra is about balance—the light and the shade, the energy and the stillness, the movement and the rest. The good and the bad—the realities we’re facing under this administration and the resilience we continue to show as a community. This gathering is a space for rest, renewal, and reconnection, where we honor both what drives us forward and what allows us to slow down.

We’ll start with movement—a high-energy group workout to release stress—followed by restorative yoga to ground and recenter. You’ll also get to connect with local wellness and beauty entrepreneurs, explore new self-care practices, and take home a few surprises to keep the good energy flowing.

We’re gathering to remind ourselves that rest, joy, and healing aren’t luxuries—they’re necessary. Pull up as you are. Move how you need to. And let’s pour back into ourselves so we can continue showing up for our communities.

Meet Our Sponsor: Inspirada Co.

  • Perla Bustillos is a Latina entrepreneur, event strategist, community builder, and eldest daughter based in Colorado. From a young age, she learned to lead with heart, adapt with grace, and hold space for others. What began as a quiet strength evolved into a calling: to design experiences where people feel seen, celebrated, and deeply connected. She is the founder of Inspirada Co., a boutique event and program design studio that helps mission-driven leaders and couples turn visions into experiences that inspire, connect, and transform. Perla blends operational excellence with heartfelt storytelling to craft gatherings that leave a lasting impact.

  • Perla has been recognized as one of MSU Denver’s “10 Under 10” alumni, serves as Co-Chair of the Denver Scholarship Foundation Alumni Advisory Committee, and is a proud member of Amigas in Tech, a collective supporting Latinas in leadership and technology. For Perla, designing experiences isn’t just about what people see, it's about what they feel, remember, and carry forward. Everything she creates is rooted in purpose, detail and a vision for a more connected, inspired world.

Meet Our Hosts

  • Everward Collective: Jaidie Vargas

    • Jaidie Vargas, founder of Everward Collective, has spent her life pushing boundaries, from serving in the U.S. Navy to leading cybersecurity innovation in the aerospace and defense industry. Through Everward, she’s now creating a different kind of space—one rooted in healing, forward growth, and community care. As a certified personal trainer and state-ranked bodybuilder, Jaidie knows strength but becoming a mother and witnessing the sacrifices of the women in her family taught her that true wellness isn’t about pushing harder.

    • It’s not a “stress-free” gummy or the latest relax drink, it’s learning to sit still with the world, to love yourself in the quiet, and to unlearn the idea that rest is weakness. Everward is more than a brand; it’s a community for those, like Jaidie, redefining what it means to be trabajadora and choosing peace instead of burnout. We’re honored to co-host Sol y Sombra as a sanctuary for our community—because in heavy times, we don’t need more hustle, we need more healing.
