Closing the gender pay gap and increasing diversity in tech
The tech industry in Europe is facing a significant challenge...
The gender pay gap remains stubbornly wide, and female representation in leadership positions is alarmingly low.
Despite efforts to promote diversity and inclusion, women in tech, particularly in Germany, are still underrepresented and underpaid. Recent data from Ravio and Remote reveals a concerning reality an unadjusted gender pay gap of 26% in German tech companies.
This means that, on average, women in tech earn 26% less than their male counterparts. The disparity is even more pronounced in high-paying executive roles, where female representation is minimal.
Addressing this issue requires a unified effort from every corner of the tech ecosystem—from investors and executives to managers and employees.
That’s why Women in Tech Germany is collaborating with Ravio, Remote, and Blacklane to tackle these pressing issues head-on.
