About Event

HBCUvc is hosting its Champion Matching event on Friday, July 16th from 9-11:30amPST/ 12-2:30pm EST and we would love for you to participate. We are looking for champions for our Lab Fund entrepreneurs. We ask our champions to not only participate in this event, but if matched, commit to mentoring and developing a deep relationship with one of our entrepreneurs over the course of our programming year, ending December 2021.

Before being paired with a founder, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with our entrepreneurs in 15 minute online speed networking sessions via breakout rooms on Zoom. Here’s what you’ll need to prepare for the meetings:

After viewing the lookbook, please answer the RSVP questions above to let us know which founders you are most interested in meeting, and we'll do our best to match you.
After the event, we’ll debrief and potential champions are asked for their preference in the match.
Once champions and founders are matched, we will ask the founders to reach out to their preferred champion(s) and work with them throughout the year.
Please note, not all who participate in the upcoming event will be matched with a founder.
