About Event

Family and close friends are invited to join the Roth and Katz families for pre-wedding ceremonies in honor of Carli & Joshua.

All events will take place at the same location of the wedding. Small bites and refreshments will be available.

Please see the timeline below:

4:00pm: Tish & Bedeken

5:00pm: Ketubah Signing

6:00pm: Chuppah Ceremony

7:00pm: Reception

Transportation will not be provided. Please use Uber, Lyft or Alto to get to the venue.

If you are driving, an attended parking lot will be available next door for you to park.

The ceremonies begin with separate festivities for the bride and groom.  The groom’s Tish is for a select group of men who have a close relationship to Joshua. At the Tish, or men’s table, the Rabbi will share some words, and there’s room for friends and family to tease and “hype” Joshua up before he gets married.

Meanwhile, Carli is upstairs with her family, close girlfriends, and aunties.  She is seated between her mother Sylvia, and mother in law, Pepita, showered with joy, compliments and heartfelt wishes as an act of providing loving, happy, supportive community presence by the important ladies in her life.  Some believe that on her wedding day, a bride is the closest to Hasham (God) she will ever be. And at this moment, she has the opportunity to bless those who want it. Some words, stories and songs will be shared as she soaks in these last moments before becoming a wife, surrounded by the all feminine love and energy in her life!

When the time is right, the men will dance Joshua upstairs to meet with Carli and the women for the Bedeken ceremony, AKA the veiling of the bride. Following that, both Joshua and Carli will be blessed by their parents, before heading over to sign the Ketubah.

Once the Ketubah is signed, all guests are welcome to sit for the Chuppah and official wedding ceremony!
