Run, Hide or Learn: The Secrets of Successful Design Feedback - How can some people enjoy listening to critiques or expressing their feedback? You can probably relate, you have presented your work and were waiting for some feedback, the deadline right in front of you… then you received unexpected criticism. It can be pretty overwhelming and uncomfortable to see your hard work taken apart. As designers, we are no longer designing in isolation. Design critiques are a key part of the product design process that, if harnessed correctly, can encourage collaboration and improve ideas. In this event, our speakers explore what it means to give a constructive design critique, and outline the fundamental principles on how to receive critiques effectively and use them to your benefit.

Ying (she/her) is a UX and product designer at Honeywell. She kicked off her career creating digital solutions for Fortune 500 clients before transitioning to enterprise UX to tackle B2B product challenges. In addition to being an ADPList mentor, she's also the co-organizer of Ladies that UX Atlanta, a design community focused on career growth, community learning, and building relationships among diverse women and non-binary folx.
