Online portfolio and Linkedin profile are no longer sufficient to attract new opportunities, grow a network, or engage with new clients. Whether we like it or not, every one of us is a brand. What exactly is a personal brand?

🇺🇸 Ying Yao — Lead UX Designer at Varis
Ying (she/her) is a Lead UX Designer at Varis. She kicked off her career creating digital solutions for Fortune 500 clients before transitioning to enterprise UX to tackle B2B product challenges. In addition to being an ADPList mentor, she's also the co-organizer of Ladies that UX Atlanta, a design community focused on career growth, community learning, and building relationships among diverse women and non-binary folx.
Fun fact: In her previous life, Ying broadcasted smooth jams through the airwaves of Atlanta as a radio DJ 🎧

He's a Product Designer currently located in New Zealand. In the last 6 years of his career, he has been lucky to work in some fantastic companies and also volunteer in UX communities to help grow our industry and help upcoming designers.
Fun Fact: He plays bass and has had a bass lesson from his favourite band Escape the fate 🎸

Based in Central Coast, California, her background is in freelancing and agency work. Her saved folders on Instagram are filled with fluffy farm animals, vintage designer inspiration and scenic alpine trails she will definitely never hike.
