Most people's career path progression is climbing the corporate ladder. But not everyone necessarily wants this type of progression or realizes that there are different paths to follow to find more satisfaction in their career.
Successful career development requires much more than technical and job-related skills. One of the best routes could be mentoring, where you can develop your leadership skills and help others learn, grow, and improve their skills. It's an opportunity to build your communication skills, expand your viewpoints, craft your soft skills, consider new ways of approaching situations and professional relationships and networks. 🇺🇸 Ying Yao — Senior UX Designer at Honeywell
Ying (she/her) is a UX and product designer at Honeywell. She kicked off her career creating digital solutions for Fortune 500 clients before transitioning to enterprise UX to tackle B2B product challenges. In addition to being an ADPList mentor, she's also the co-organizer of Ladies that UX Atlanta, a design community focused on career growth, community learning, and building relationships among diverse women and non-binary folx.
Fun fact: In her previous life, Ying broadcasted smooth jams through the airwaves of Atlanta as a radio DJ 🎧

🇺🇸 Diana Reed - Product Design Manager at Klaviyo
Diana is a Product Design Manager at Klaviyo. She helps a growing design team deliver exceptional experiences across email and other channels. Before joining Klaviyo, Diana worked at GoDaddy, eBay, and various startups focused on solving customer-obsessed problems while having deep empathy. She has a BFA in Art in Design, concentrating in Graphic Design, from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. You can find Diana jamming out to a record, reading in her backyard, or recipe testing her latest craving outside of work. She currently lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and son.
Fun Fact: I was adopted by my step-father at the age of 15. What's really funny about it is that he brags he had triplets in a month because it was a month after my brother was born that he adopted my sister and I 👨👩👦
