Community Event— Zine Club
Introducing!! Zine Club: an exploration into the art of self expression through DIY, self-made + published works.
We’ll kick off with an intro to zine making, some inspiration and a demo on crafting a single sheet zine. We're also always happy to help you bring another zine form to life including three stitch booklets & accordions :)
All materials are included— use our vast selection of curated collage materials, stamps, stickers, drawing utensils, papers, label makers, etc to create something entirely unique to you <3 Feel free to bring any photographs or materials from home you’d like to incorporate.
We'll end the night sharing what we made with those around us and making copies of our zines to swap!
Whether this is your very first zine, or your 500th, there’s a place for you at our long communal art/craft table.
As with all RecCreate events, you can expect to go on this journey with a room full of lovely strangers. We’ll offer opportunities for connection throughout our time— encouraging the spirit of the collective. It is (so) much more fun to get to create together.
The tunes will be bumping, and we often have drink sponsors who make sure you have something fun to sip on. See you there!
Getting Here
The venue is a ~hidden~ art studio located at 20 Grand ave in brooklyn on the 6th floor of a commercial building! When you arrive, buzz #604, push to open and take the elevator up to 6 (push the elevator button until it turns red.!!) Take a right out of the elevator, and a left at the end of the hallway. The door will be the first one on your right.
Cancelation Policy
Unfortunately for this event tickets are non-refundable/exchange-able! Please double check your calendar. In the event you are no longer able to make it, you are welcome to give your ticket to a friend or swap it on our ticket swap board. Just tell them to use your name!
Photography Disclaimer
Though we do our best to keep all photography / video to a minimum, please note all guests who attend consent to being photographed and videoed which may be used for marketing or promotional purposes at the discretion of RecCreate Collective.
Age Restriction & Dogs
All guests must be 18+ to attend and though we love your pups, unfortunately cannot have them in the studio!
