The event brings together a collection of fantastic speakers who are each contributing professionally to the landscape of game accessibility in the UK, not only demonstrating accessibility as a serious professional discipline requiring organisation investment for developers to find success. Also, to showcase the expertise present in this area across the UK.

The panel is focused on intersectoral collaboration towards improving accessibility in the games industry. How we can work together successfully, incorporating the perspective of academics, charities, and the games industry to tackle current and future problems around accessibility.

The event is part of #RaiseTheGame’s Access November - a biennial EDI campaign aimed at championing accessibility both in the games we play and places we work, while amplifying disability and neurodiversity awareness and representation in the UK games industry.
Access November looks to provide games industry professionals and companies alike opportunities and resources to highlight the importance around these vital matters to not only help their organisations think and implement more inclusively, yet also consider untapped demographics to expand audiences, talent growth and outreach.

How do I get to the venue?
Please use the address details on the event page to get to the venue. We will be sending those that sign-up specific directions and photos about how to sign-in on the day and accessing the event space closer to the time.
Are there accessibility considerations in place at the event?
Yes, the venue is wheelchair friendly with an accessible ramp available on request, we will have BSL interpretation throughout the event, and attendees will have access to a quiet room space if they wish to take a space back and decompress.
Will there be free drinks and food on offer at the event?
There will be a range of beverages available to attendees of the event. There will be no food at the event, however there are a range of restaurants and takeaways close by for guests to check out before or after the event.
Are students, freelancers and those not working in the games industry welcome to the event?
Absolutely, #RaiseTheGame strive to ensure our events are inclusive, impactful and welcome people from different backgrounds to attend by creating safe environments for people to network, be inspired and have fun.
Will the event have a Code Of Conduct or similar guidelines in place?
Yes, #RaiseTheGame has a Code Of Conduct in place for all our events. We will be sending those that sign-up a copy of the Code Of Conduct we use to view closer to the time. However, if you like a copy sooner, please get in touch!
