Ask Me Anything with Sheila Baxter Lamb and Liz Rockett

We are excited to host Sheila Baxter Lamb (Principal of Business Development and Chief of Staff @ Kaiser Permanente Digital, MPH @ UC Berkeley, BS @ UC Santa Cruz) and Liz Rockett (Managing Director @ Kaiser Permanente Ventures, MBA & MPH @ UC Berkeley, BA @Princeton) for a discussion around KP-related digital health careers.

​Sheila Baxter Lamb is responsible for leading resource coordination, driving strategic partnerships, advancing thought leadership, and supporting talent strategy within Kaiser Permanente’s (KP) Digital division. Prior to joining KP, Sheila held the position of VP of Business Development and Marketing for Healthy Communities Institute, playing an instrumental role in growing the business to acquisition by Xerox (now Conduent). Sheila completed her Master's in Public Health in Health Policy and Management at UC Berkeley where she received the Henrik L. Blum Award for Distinguished Social Action and held the position as former President of UC Berkeley's School of Public Health’s Alumni Association. She currently serves on the Regent’s Advisory Council for the California Association of Healthcare Leaders, is on KP Digital’s Transformation Advisory Council, is an Advisor for a startup called ConnectWell, and a former board member of the Women Health Care Executives of NorCal. In 2017, she completed a 2-year Marketing Management Certificate program via Harvard Extension and last year acquired an executive education certificate on “Leading Digital Transformation in Health Care” via Harvard Medical School.

​Liz Rockett is Managing Director at Kaiser Permanente Ventures. She serves on the boards of Big Health, Everytable, OssoVR, and KitCheck, as a board observer to Groups Recover Together, DexCare, and Omada Health, and as a member of the investment committee for Rock Health.   Prior to KP Ventures, Liz ran health impact investing for Imprint Capital, acquired by Goldman Sachs. At Imprint, she developed innovative capital strategies to improve health and strengthen the care system in the US for clients including Acumen America, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the Packard Foundation, and the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.   Liz’s operating background in new product development was shaped at the Advisory Board Company (acquired by Optum), TriZetto, and Outcome Sciences (acquired by Quintiles). She has a longstanding love of all things career development, talent strategy, and team culture. She is a proud alum of Princeton University (undergrad) and of the University of California Berkeley (MBA & MPH).
