Legatus SJC - February Meeting
Rob Bridenbecker is the former Executive Producer and Vice President of Blizzard Entertainment, the company behind iconic games like World of Warcraft, Diablo, StarCraft, and Overwatch. Joining Blizzard in 1995, he was instrumental in developing Battle.net and served as a senior executive during the company’s rapid expansion from 2007 to 2014. Under his leadership, Blizzard grew from a single studio to a global organization of over 10,000 employees. Later, he focused on modernizing classic games and fostering external development before semi-retiring in 2021.
That same year marked a pivotal moment in Bridenbecker's personal life when he converted to Catholicism alongside his daughter. His faith journey brought him and his family closer, deepening their involvement at St. Thomas More in Irvine. They actively participate in ministries like OC Cursillo and contribute to the capital campaign for a new church.
In 2021, Bridenbecker co-founded Radiant Beer Co. in Anaheim, CA, with former Blizzard colleagues and craft beer experts. Radiant quickly earned the prestigious “Brewery of the Year” award at the Great American Beer Festival and continues to garner industry accolades.
A native of Orange County, Bridenbecker has deep family roots in the area and graduated Summa Cum Laude from San Diego State University in 2024. He enjoys travel, working on vehicles, and hands-on craftsmanship. His life reflects a commitment to innovation, community, and faith, culminating in a journey that blends professional success with spiritual growth.
