🌱 What is Plogging?
Originating in Sweden in 2016, plogging combines jogging with picking up litter. The term merges the Swedish words plocka upp (pick up) and jogga (jog), promoting both personal health and environmental cleanliness .
🏃♀️ Event Highlights
Route: Participants will jog in all four cardinal directions from the campus center, covering a 0.5-mile radius.
Objective: Collect litter (especially plastic waste!) for analysis by material, brand, and weight, fostering awareness of consumption and waste.
Action: Using an app to catalog waste by material, brand, and weight, we will be collecting helpful data for analysis and civic action!
