Roll for Shoes with Matt

​This is an RPGFest event; we'll be playing an in-person tabletop roleplaying game with a small group. The game will be hosted in Western Queens. Come prepared to roleplay!

​This game takes inspiration from sea-based disaster movies such as The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and Deep Rising (1998). You begin aboard the cruise ship Grand Solace, during a month-long tour of tropical isles in the south Pacific Ocean. Maybe you're a big city lawyer going on vacation, a teenage stowaway running away from home, or any other of the thousands of passengers who call this ship their temporary home.

​The carefree getaway is soon cut short when an intense storm endangers the ship and all aboard it. You must rely on your wits and the courage of others to weather the chaos, but do even worse perils await? Are you prepared to survive the storm?

Roll For Shoes is a micro-rpg system with only a handfull of rules that can be found at rollforshoes.com. Character creation and advancement occurs organically throughout the game as the actions you take to solve problems directly impact what skills your character develops. This emphasizes player choice in where the story goes and who your characters become, so be prepared to improvise!
