Circular Economy and Fashion
Did you know that 25% of clothing returns are sent to landfills?
Were you aware that a pair of silver hoop earrings can make one solar panel?
A 14K gold ring has the same gold that you can recover from one hundred cell phones without the toxic chemicals from e-waste?
In celebration of Seattle Climate Week and our Women in Climate community, we are bringing together Ambika Singh, Founder and CEO of Armoire and Cleo Escarez, Founder and CEO of Redyoos to share their journeys into climate tech and how they are influencing the adoption of circularity in fashion to lessen the impact to our environment. Kim Martini, Founder and CEO of Tini Scientific will be moderating this fantastic conversation.
After chatting with our women founders, there will be an opportunity to join a guided tour of the Armoire and an opportunity to mingle, enjoy a drink and network with our Women in Climate community.
We will also have a jewelry recycling competition to put your unwanted jewelry to beneficial use in building green tech and reducing the need for mining. Bring all your Ziplock bags of all that jewelry you will never use again. We’ll take any type and any condition of your jewelry. A one-month subscription to Armoire will be given to the person that contributes the most.
Reduce the impact of clothing: rent instead of buying,
Reduce the need for mining and contribute to building green technology with your unwanted jewelry.
Bring it, recycle it, reuse it, and reduce impact!
