Building hardware for Biology
AI might be getting a lot of headlines in biology, but the data revolution is being driven by transformations in hardware and lab automation. For the winter edition of the Paris Bits in Bio chapter, we are thrilled to invite two great entrepreneurs in the field who will explain us the specificities of building hardware for biology :
Jérôme is the co-founder and president of InSpek, a startup developing optical sensors for bioproduction. He founded InSpek after completing his PhD in integrated photonics (i.e., optics on a semiconductor chip) with the vision of bringing the advantages of chip technology to industrial processes. InSpek aims to facilitate the growth of bioproduction through better process understanding and optimization.
Hervé de Malliard is the President of MGA Technologies, a company driving innovation in automation solutions for industrial processes in the pharma and biotech sectors. An entrepreneur with extensive experience in industrial machinery, robotics, and disruptive technologies, Hervé has led international projects across multiple countries, including industrial expansions and acquisitions. His leadership has earned him recognition as a Chevalier of the Légion d'Honneur.
As usual, our guests will each give a small talk and the discussion will be followed by some food and drinks. This event is organized and supported by Estelle Botbol and SpeedInvest, Christophe Tallec and BioLabs, Felix Raimundo and Gustave Ronteix.
