Fail Forward with Retail Fundraising
Join us to shift the mindset from failure to forward momentum and build a culture of experimentation and iteration in fundraising. This workshop is suitable for non profit organisations, community leaders, and volunteers interested in building a retail fundraising strategy. Prior experience with retail fundraising is not required.
Session Objectives & Session Outcome:
Retail fundraising comes with challenges—campaigns that don’t take off, donors who disengage, and strategies that don’t deliver as expected. But in today’s changing funding landscape, where traditional grants and large-scale donations are shifting, investing in everyday giving is more important than ever.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how nonprofits can embrace failure as a tool for innovation, refine their retail fundraising strategies, and build resilience. Built on learnings fro thirteen years of the GivingTuesday movement, this interactive workshop will offer non-profits new perspectives and practical tools to:
Build a sustainable retail fundraising strategy: Shift from one-time, year-round fundraising to a structured giving moments approach that keeps engagement fresh and continuous.
Craft compelling narratives: Reframe your campaign messaging and storytelling to make even traditionally “uncrowdfundable” causes resonate with wider audiences.
Strengthening donor engagement & retention: Learn how to transform existing donors into passionate champions and explore creative ways to encourage recurring giving.
