Ready to Use Contracts: Know the Rules, Set the Terms
Summary
Are you finding it difficult to navigate unclear contracts, uncredited work, or the unauthorized use of your creations by AI?
This hands-on workshop is designed for artists, designers, developers, and all creators who want to empower themselves and confidently navigate the digital landscape.
In this session, you will:
Demystify copyright, licensing, and ownership in the digital era.
Learn to draft clear, protective agreements. No legalese, just the essentials for creators.
Learn how to use public licenses and open licensing tools to define and communicate how your work may be used, including provisions addressing unauthorized AI use and other misuses.
You will leave with a basic freelance contract template and actionable checklists. No legal background is needed. The goal isn’t to turn you into a lawyer but to equip you with the confidence and knowledge to protect your time, creativity, and future as a creator in today’s fast-paced digital world.
