DAIAA Subgroup: AI On Bitcoin (Meeing #1)

​We started DAIAA (the Decentralized AI Agent Alliance) in January, 2025, with the mission: To foster the development and proliferation of decentralized AI agents through education, activism, research, and events. Today we have 150+ Founding Members working in subgroups to solve the issues facing everyone building decentralized AI agents.

​We're excited to announce the launch of the 8th DAIAA subgroup, "AI on Bitcoin", to be chaired by Parth Pathak, Founder of Tachi, Bitcoin's Metaprotocol.  The subgroup will meet the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, from 12pm-1pm est, starting August 13th.  Per his messages in the TG Subgroup channel, Parth laid out ambitious goals for the group:

​Our mission: To build the foundational rails for a sovereign machine economy on BTC. 

​1. Why Bitcoin for AI? A multi-trillion dollar agentic economy shouldn’t only be built on centralized servers or alt-L1s. It requires sound money and self-custodied property rights. 

​2. Building this requires innovations on top of BTC. Through this subgroup, we will seed R&D for the 3 core pillars of a sovereign AI economy:
A.  Sovereign Agents: AIs that truly own their capital.
B.  Native Machine Economy: A2A commerce powered by VTXO runtimes (e.g. Tachi SatVM's WASM).
C. Verifiable Intelligence: On-chain AI proof markets anchored by new cryptographic proofs.

​This is more than a research group. It's a call to build.

​About TACHI: Tachi is a live, practical testbed where these breakthroughs can be deployed and validated today.

​Our research is concentrated on three core work streams with significant novelty and economic potential:

​1. Sovereign Agent Architectures

​- focus on a critical, Bitcoin-native question: how can an AI agent truly own and control its capital? 

​2. BTC-Native Machine Economy

​- research how to build and scale agentic marketplaces directly on Bitcoin.

​3. Verifiable Intelligence on Bitcoin

​- investigates how to use the Bitcoin mainnet as an immutable anchor to prove the integrity and results of off-chain AI operations.
