About Event

This is a virtual event, with an in-person broadcast in Lisbon. We invite LabWeek22 participants and others in Lisbon to join us at SUD Lisboa for drinks, light bites, and discussion.

Join us for a live virtual talk and conversation with researchers at Convergent Research on the future of brain-computer interfaces. How are these direct communication pathways between humans and machines progressing? How we will continue augmenting our minds and bodies? And what lines, if any, will be drawn by humanity in this quest?‍

Hear a talk from Milan Cvitkovic, a scientist, software engineer, and the strategy lead at Convergent Research. Then listen to a fascinating fireside chat between Convergent Research CEO Adam Marblestone and Protocol Labs founder Juan Benet. Finally, you'll have a chance to ask these pioneers and innovators questions yourself.

Got a burning question for Milan or Adam? Here's your chance to ask them. Drop it on Twitter with #PLBreakthroughs and we'll ask them during the event.

This event is part of the Breakthroughs in Computing Speaker Series, on how technology will shape society in the next five to 25 years. Hosted by Protocol Labs, this series runs every evening from Oct. 24-28. It's designed to bring people together through convivial drinks, thoughtful discussions, and new connections.

We invite all LabWeek22 participants to join the Breakthroughs in Computing Speaker Series. We also welcome any others who are engaging in advanced computing initiatives. This could be open source projects, research, higher education, or similar endeavors.
