Meet Beth
Beth Montgomery is a multifaceted professional, serving as an energy worker, group facilitator, and a certified Death Doula. Her journey into the realm of death and dying was sparked by a profound realization of the scarcity of open dialogue surrounding this deeply significant yet often concealed aspect of life. It was during her Death Doula certification process that she recognized a pressing need for increased educational opportunities and safe spaces—sometimes unconventional—for meaningful conversations about death and dying.
What to Expect
On this shortest day of the year, Joseph sets the intention of letting go with Sound. Gongs, drums, wind Instruments, and others from around the world intuitively embrace you as you ease yourself through the changing seasons. This will be followed by a Yule Log ritual in the courtyard, and a sharing circle held by Death Doula extraordinaire Beth Montgomery. Non-Alcoholic Wassail and other treats will be offered. As with all our events, everyone is welcome in our judgement free sanctuary. Last year's event was wonderful, and we're blessed to have the presence of Beth this year.
What to Bring
We have mats, blankets and pillows, but the more nesting materials you can bring the better. Think camping matts, thick yoga mats, that kind of thing. Comfort is paramount for stillness. We also highly suggest eye coverings to turn your journey inward and resist the ego's temptation to become an audience. We provide mugs and beverages, but a closed water bottle is always good to have. If you have dietary restrictions feel free to bring your own tea as well.
