About Event

Jorge N. Ferrer, PhD., is a clinical psychologist, author, and educator. He was a professor of psychology for more than 20 years at California Institute of Integral Studies, San Francisco, where he also served as chair of the Department of East-West Psychology. Jorge is the author of dozens of articles and several books on psychology, education, and religious studies, including Participation and the Mystery: Transpersonal Essays in Psychology, Education, and Religion (State University of New York Press, 2017). His work on sexuality and alternative intimate relationships is the focus of his most recent book, Love and Freedom: Transcending Monogamy and Polyamory (Rowman & Littlefield, 2022), and has been featured in many podcasts and journals such as Sexuality and Culture and Psychology and Sexuality. In his international private practice, he offers professional counseling to individuals and couples focused on the management of jealousy, infidelities, sexual incompatibilities, open relationships, and the design of more satisfying intimate relationships.
