🎲 Board Game Night: Social Deduction

​This month @ Indy Hall Board Games: Social Deduction!

​Specifically, a homebrew version of Ultimate Werewolf, themed around the hit TV series The Traitors! I actually developed the rules myself as a way to entice my Reality TV-loving friends into playing a board game with me for my birthday (and also because it gave me an excuse to dress up as Alan Cumming). It’s a great game for large groups, so invite your friends and let’s make this a party!

​As always, all are welcome — we’ll go over the rules together, but links are below for those who want to dig in ahead of time.

​Wanna Bring Your Own Game (BYOG)? By all means, bring your own game! BYOG is not only welcomed but encouraged — bring something that fits the theme or whatever you happen to be into right now.

​We’ll be kicking things off officially around 6:30, but we encourage you to swing by anytime after 6:00 to call dibs on a spotlight game or set up your own game.

​Ultimate Traitors

Players: 6+

​In this game, players take on the role of inhabitants of a grand castle estate. They may be nobility, butlers, or skilled trades-folk. But something is amiss. Around every corner lurks danger, suspicion, and intrigue. Lately… people have been disappearing, one by one. There are Traitors walking amongst the humble Faithfuls, and time is running out to figure out who they are.

​The game takes place over a series of “days” and “nights”. During the day, players will build alliances and rivalries, voting to Banish one player (hopefully a Traitor) from the castle permanently. But at night, the Traitors scheme and Eliminate players under cover of darkness.

​If the Faithfuls can eliminate all the Traitors from their midst by the end of the game, they’ll secure the victory. But if even one Traitor remains, they will snatch victory instead. Who will come out on top in the end?
