As Assistant Director for South East Angels, Jake engages with the startup community and arranges deal flow for the group's investor members, leading on startup vetting, selection, pitch prep and deal close. Previously Jake's experience covered strategy consulting, growth roles in tech startups and as a founder running a tech-services marketplace.
South East Angels is an active angel group based out of Sussex, that invests in pre-seed and seed-stage startups across a range of sectors. Since inception three years ago they have invested in 25 companies, deploying £2.1m.

Simona is a venture professional, startup operator and software developer, with extensive commercial experience in MNEs like Coca Cola and Reckitt Benckiser, and YC-backed startups like Superside. She is currently Diligence Manager at GoingVC, where she oversees sourcing efforts and deals as they move to investment committee and beyond.After pursuing an industry-backed MBA with a focus on tech scale-ups, Simona joined the venture team of the international accelerator and venture studio Founders Factory, backed by corporate partners such as L’Oreal, Aviva, EasyJet and more. Following her work on investment theses, sourcing and portfolio support, she zoomed in on her interest in new decentralised models of e-commerce.As an events enthusiast, she helped run hackathons and some of Bay Area's largest tech conferences. Besides that, her interests lie in CVC, Latam tech ecosystem, consumer technologies, future of work, SaaS and impact investing.Simona also holds a MSc in Advanced Marketing Management from Lancaster University Management School in the UK.
