1st Pittsburgh Hardware Meetup | Robots, EVs, and Manufacturing
The Hardware Meetup community is excited to announce our very first meetup in Pittsburgh! We're super excited to be hosting our first event at the Innovation Works Robotics Factory and discussing all things robots and electric vehicles.
If you have your own hardware to demo, bring it! You'll have an opportunity during the Community Open Mic (more on the agenda below). We're looking for prototypes, finished products, and part samples from the hardware on your desks.
Hardware Meetups happen across 30+ cities around the world, bringing together hardware professionals to network and learn from each other. We started in SF, NYC, and Boston!
We have a great group of guest speakers
Jonathan Powers, founder and CEO of SPM (Super Powers Mobility) and your emcee for the evening! SPM aspires to build off-road vehicles that allow humans to traverse the earth in a way that is less impactful from an emissions standpoint, and much higher satisfaction through previously unachievable electrified performance and simplified user experience. SPM is one of the first U.S. based, engineering centric off-road vehicle companies dedicated to full electrification, vertical integration, and IP ownership of a domestically produced powertrain.
Maximillian Obasiolu, founder and CEO of Lead-in Record Co. Lead-in Record Co is an end-to-end vinyl record manufacturing service for independent artists. They shorten the production of vinyl records from months to a week, making vinyl record record manufacturing accessible to independent artists. Learn how Maximillian and his team uses the Scale Shop to iterate their prototype.
ESTAT Actuation builds electroadhesive clutches and brakes that are 10x lighter, 10x more compact, and 1000x more efficient than conventional clutch hardware. Their customers use ESTAT products to create robot designs that were previously infeasible in the mobile robotics, logistics robots, wearable robots, and manufacturing verticals.
