​** This is a LIVE interview with author Hester Musson about the craft of writing and reality of building a writing career. Attendees will be sent a recording after the interview. **


​How can we write historical thrillers that captivate readers? 

​Hester Musson is the debut author of The Beholders, a novel that tells the story of Harriet, a young maid newly employed at a country house in the 1870s. Harriet soon finds herself entranced by her mistress. The story is told through Harriet’s diary, through which readers experience the mysteries of Finton Hall. 

​Join us for a conversation with Hester as we discuss her writing process, her interest in gothic elements, and the inspiration behind her debut novel. 

​We'll also explore:

​About Hester Musson   

​Hester Musson studied at Bristol University and the RCS in  Glasgow. She worked as an actress and autocue operator in London before writing full time, and now lives in Scotland. The Beholders is her debut novel.
