Bay Area Rising is a community-based organization that hosts intimate ‘listening parties’ (vibes very similar to NPR’s Tiny Desk’) in unique spaces around San Francisco.
The passion project strives to build a community, safe space, and stage to help promote rising independent artists around the bay.
We’re putting together small unique pop-up stages around San Francisco for musicians & artists to perform, share stories, and promote their latest works. With every new show, we team up with local businesses around the bay area so that as our artists & shows grow, we are bringing up local communities up with us.
Each stage is different from the last, and all stages and shows are assembled around a distinct theme and visual identity.
For this next show we will be partnering up with the Institute of Contemporary Art San Francisco - brand new, free, non-collecting contemporary art museum dedicated to experimenting in public, operating transparently, and embracing constant reinvention in the realm of contemporary art.
Our newest installation be led by Laura from Flora Stories, a promising new florist from San Mateo looking to showcase her creative range as a floral designer, who typically specializes in hosting floral workshops & photoshoots, and arranging custom bouquet orders.
We’ll be given less than 24 hours to throw together our next installation at our first art museum exhibition show.
Join us for an intimate, immersive, and interactive show where you’ll discover new music and artists, hear stories from the life of a rising artist, and experience a fun and unique pop-up stage.
