About Event

Deepen your backbends and understand how to work on them in a safe way through the Backbend Harmony series. This series of 6 masterclasses is designed to enhance your flexibility, strength and awareness to elevate your backbend practice.

  • Location: Zoom (recordings available)

  • Days: February 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21 at 7:45am on Wednesdays and 8:00am on Saturdays GMT+1 (such as Berlin, Germany). Recordings from the classes will be available until the end of December so you can practice at any time.

  • Duration: each class is 60-75 minutes long

  • Level: All levels. You will be guided through each step, and will receive guidance and modifications to make each pose accessible for your body.

  • ​Spaces are limited to ensure individualized focus.

SCHEDULE

3.02 (Saturday) Backbends and splits - a stretching routine that focuses on flexibility and strength for backbends and splits.

7.02 (Wednesday) Scorpion and its variations - a class that focuses on backbend conditioning and techniques for scorpion and its variations

10.02 (Saturday) Forearm croc, funky pincha backbends - a class that focuses on upper body strength and backbends while exploring funky inversions.

14.02 (Wednesday) Ankle catches in king pigeon, lunge and dancer - a class focusing on hip flexor, hamstring, shoulder and backbend flexibility.

17.02 (Saturday) Wheel variations - a class that focuses on shoulder and upper back flexibility, refining wheel pose and exploring creative variations to challenge and elevate your practice.

21.02 (Wednesday) King cobra and bow variations - a class that focuses on strengthening the back muscles, learning the mechanics of king cobra and bow pose, and exploring their fun variations.

​I teach because I want to help others discover their strengths within themselves. I strongly believe that if I could do it, then you can too, in your own unique way.

FAQ

Am I too beginner for this?

​No. I remember joining all kinds of classes in the beginning of my yoga practice and they inspired me so much. We all start somewhere. The only prerequisite is a commitment to yourself, dedication, and willingness to try.

What if I can’t attend live?

​If you are not able to join live, the recordings will help you just as much. Recordings will be available on the same day and saved until the end of December so you can practice at any time, catch up or re-do the classes.

Can I ask questions during/after the classes?

​Of course, I will answer your questions. I’m doing this for you and I would love you to make the most of it & learn a lot.

Do I have to be flexible to join this program?

​No, this program is for everyone from beginner to advanced, especially good for those of us starting stretching as adults. You will be guided through each step, and will receive guidance and modifications/progressions to make each pose accessible for your body.

Know that this journey won’t be perfect so give yourself the space to play around and explore your body's possibilities. ❤️
