Mt Sutro to Twin Peaks sunset hike
Join us for another Saturday adventure, the sunset hike from Mt Sutro to Twin Peaks.
The hike will be easy to moderately challenging and take about 2:30 to 3 hours (depending on the group's pace).
No carpooling for this hike, as it's easily accessible via public transit and by road. Please bring a source of light in case it gets dark quickly after sunset.
What to Expect:
We will start from the Historic Trail Trailhead, hike to Mt Sutro, Sutro Tower, Twin Peaks, and return to the start point as we complete the loop.
Stunning views of SF from the summits during the golden hour.
If it's cloudy and non-foggy, a stunning sunset and afterglow.
Some wildflowers on the trail.
Gusts of wind at times.
May have bugs and mud if it rains during the week leading up to the hike.
Dogs on leash are allowed on the trail.
