The BioFi Revolution
The event will be co-hosted by: Ethic, the BioFi Project, Ripple of Impact, Regen Network, Open Future Fund, Amazon Sacred Headwaters Alliance, Fundación Pachamama, and Terragenesis.
There is a wave of capital forming that has committed to investing in ‘nature.’ However many of the most impactful regenerative projects and initiatives, are small-scale and informal, are often structurally excluded from capital sources or considered illegible to capital holders. In response, a growing movement of organizations is forming that are working to connect financial resources to grassroots regenerators to catalyze the transition to regenerative, bioregional economies in the face of an unfolding polycrisis.
Organizations involved in bridging this disconnection are increasingly present at NY Climate Week, but often have trouble finding one another amidst programming that is not always aligned with regenerative, bioregional principles. In response, a group of organizations working together to catalyze the “BioFi Revolution” – to decentralize financial resource governance, aggregate synergistic portfolios of projects, and drive the transition to regenerative economies – has decided to convene a gathering. It will focus on sharing the work happening in the BioFi/ regenerative space, connecting potential allies, bringing in new collaborators, asking provocative questions, further growing the movement, and using imagination to seed positive futures.
Join us at Ethic’s HQ in Tribeca to hear what some innovators in the space are up to, roundtables focused on cultivating collaborative action beyond Climate Week, some mixing and mingling, and hors d'oeuvres. Bring your ideas for how to catalyze a BioFi Revolution in your organization or home bioregion!
