Vibe Coding - The AI-augmented software development experience
Got a cool business idea and want to turn it into reality, but not sure where to start with that first line of code? After this session, you'll know some of the tools and techniques to launch your idea into a fully working software solution.
This session is all about Vibe coding. We're excited to announce that Seb Krueger and Jack Shennan will showcase the latest AI-augmented software engineering capability.
Wikipedia describes vibe coding as follows:
Vibe coding (or vibecoding) is a programming paradigm dependent on artificial intelligence (AI), where a person describes a problem in a few sentences as a prompt to a large language model (LLM) tuned for coding. The LLM generates software, shifting the programmer's role from manual coding to guiding, testing, and refining the AI-generated source code. Vibe coding is claimed by its advocates to allow even amateur programmers to produce software without the extensive training and skills required for software engineering. [1]

Riffing on the idea of a job advertisement site, this session is a live demonstration of the AI-augmented SDLC, from idea to deployment to a live environment. Using voice prompts only, we will use AI to generate a full Product Requirements Document via stakeholder interviews, build a working web app implementation, customise the code via AI-copilots, and generate full test suites to ensure the code works correctly. All in just 60 minutes!
Some of the tools that will be demonstrated include Granola, Wispr Flow, ChatGPT, v0.dev, Cursor, Warp, Vercel, and others.
