Skillful and Monday Girl are joining forces for a fireside chat with our amazing mentors to discuss career change: how to find and evaluate new opportunities, build connections and set yourself up for success. 💫

Panelists:

  • Rachel Wong (Cofounder, Monday Girl) - Rachel Wong is the co-founder of Monday Girl, an all-in-one career platform that helps professional women get started in their careers. With 6K+ members, Monday Girl has partnered with brands including Google, Microsoft, and Scotiabank. Rachel joined Uber in its early days to help launch the Uber Eats platform in key Canadian markets. In the past 5 years, Rachel wore many hats across the Uber Eats SMB sales organization, and is now currently the City Manager for Western Canada. 

  • Himani Nagrath (Crypto Operations at Wealthsimple & Skillful Mentor) - Himani currently leads Crypto Operations at Wealthsimple. Her team owns, builds, optimizes and executes on the back end processes that power the Wealthsimple Crypto platform. Prior to crypto life, Himani led Wealthsimple's Institutional Transfers Operations, growing the team 3x and doubling operational volumes in under a year. Before Wealthsimple, Himani spent several years working as a technology consultant at EY, where she worked on projects aimed at optimizing financial processes using technology. Himani moved to Canada when she was 19 from Mumbai, India to study Finance at McGill University

  • Ana Lopez (Operations and Platform at Golden Ventures & Skillful Mentor) - Ana leads operations and platform at Golden Ventures. At Golden, she works directly with portfolio companies, manages platform and community initiatives, and designs the processes that keep Golden running smoothly. Prior to Golden, Ana worked at Snaptravel, where she was one of the first business hires and oversaw customer support and internal operations. She has also worked in operations and strategy roles at FreshBooks and Shopify. Ana has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University and remains highly engaged as an executive of the Queen's Venture Network.

  • Julie-Anne Mendoza (Product Operations at DoorDash & Skillful Mentor) - Julie-Anne works on Product Operations on DoorDash's New Verticals team. She serves as a product owner for nascent features, using data to inform product strategy, and leading go-to-market planning and execution. Previously, she owned Quebec consumer growth for DoorDash Canada, and was an early member of Ritual's Strategy & Planning team doing BizOps, RevOps, SalesOps…many flavours of hyphenated-Ops. Outside of her day job, Julie-Anne is an active mentor at Skillful, croissant connoisseur, and crossword puzzle fanatic.
