Casual Online UX Meetup
How to participate
Unlike some of our other online meet ups, this one will take place on Discord. (If you haven’t used Discord before, it’s a little bit similar to Slack. It's more social than professional.)
If you already have a Discord account, you're good to go.
If you don't, then you will be prompted to create one. The process should take a few minutes.
You can use either a web browser or the optional Discord app.
About the event
This meetup has no agenda, no particular theme. The schedule is also open-ended. Your host will be online for the two-hour period, but you can come and go as you please.
Maybe think of it as a coffee shop!
Anyone is welcome to attend: professionals, students, or just the UX–curious. You don’t even need to live near Minneapolis.
No need to prepare, but participants may be invited to introduce themselves, and/or talk about their interest in UX or their experiences with it. (But no one will be pressured to actively participate if observing is more your jam.)
A few additional notes:
Your host is an experienced facilitator — yet still imperfect. 🙂
Your host will emphasize making everyone feel welcome.
If you require any accessibility accommodations, let the host know!
Camera use is encouraged, but totally optional.
You can also choose to communicate via chat if you'd rather not talk.
