2023 Unconference: Reimagining The Journalism Ecosystem

​Join us at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY for our second annual Unconference. This day will be dedicated to fostering collaborative ideation and brainstorming sessions centered around the future of journalism and the potential for innovation within the news industry. We have carefully selected a small group of individuals whose contributions and insights on news leadership we highly regard.

​The invited guests will collectively determine the agenda at the beginning of the day, choosing which sessions to attend throughout the duration of the event. While the specific session topics will be decided by the participants themselves, here are some potential areas that may be explored:

• ​What leadership do we want to see in the media industry, and how can we transform our current culture?

• ​What can the U.S. learn from journalism best practices in other parts of the world, and what can other regions learn from the U.S.?

• ​How can we collaboratively push the industry towards equity and inclusion?

• ​What strategies can help newsrooms develop sustainable, diversified revenue portfolios?

​This a private, invitation-only event that will be following the Chatham House Rules. 

​Please note that this is an in-person event taking place in Midtown Manhattan, NYC - there will not be a Zoom option available. 

​This event will be followed up with an optional self-guided museum tour at Fotografiska Museum.
