Mindful Stress Resilience Educator Support Group
with Rita Geraghty
Stress and uncertainty are off the charts right now. Educators are on the front line. This is a support group for educators to learn and practice mindfulness skills for stress resilience and self care. It's also a safe space for educators to find mutual support.
This weekly drop-in group is open to all educators. All SF Dharma Collective classes are supported by dana (generosity). Participants are asked to donate if/as they are able. All are welcome regardless of their financial situation.
Rita Geraghty has been practicing and training in mindfulness since 2008. She was certified to teach by Mindful Schools in 2017. Using mindfulness and trauma informed skills proved to be the missing link in her decades long path of personal growth and healing. It has brought her a clear understanding of how using science-backed knowledge of our mind and our nervous system, along with simple exercises can provide stress resilience, emotional regulation, and an openness to the joys of life. Since 1985, Rita has worked with people and families in a various settings and capacities that require sensitivity, compassion and care. She has been a labor coach, parent educator, home visitor and elderly companion. She now combines her trauma informed mindfulness training and concern for community to teach others how to gain these valuable skills.
