What is WISE?
We are the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) - UofT Chapter. WISE was established in 1999 to support cis/trans women in STEM fields (including 2-spirit and non-binary folks comfortable in women-centered spaces). Currently, we are one of the largest and highly-regarded campus organizations at UofT, with over 700 members. We host sponsored events and networking sessions and ultimately aim to empower students to achieve their full potential as engineers, entrepreneurs, scientists, and leaders. Our goal is to celebrate the achievements of women in STEM fields and dispel myths surrounding women in STEM.
Although our goal is focused on women, we ultimately hope to promote a sense of empowerment and confidence in all UofT students to reach their goals and explore new or intimidating opportunities.
