Dr. Alex Pang Bio:
Alex Pang is a Computer Science faculty member at Temple University, where he brings over 20 years of investment industry experience to his role as an educator, having worked as a financial engineer, data scientist, and software engineer across various financial firms.
In 2019, he transitioned into higher education, driven by his passion for sharing industry expertise and training the next generation of Computer Science professionals. He currently teaches algorithms, discrete mathematics, software engineering, and quantitative methods, with a particular focus on incorporating artificial intelligence tools into his teaching methodology.
Alex holds a doctorate in Theoretical Physics and a Master of Science in Computer Science, along with professional certificates in Artificial Intelligence. He is also a CFA charter holder and has published well-cited data mining research papers. To strengthen his teaching capabilities, he completed Temple University's Teaching Higher Education program and received the corresponding certificate.
