Spotlight on AWoN research
In our latest event, on conviviality, we learned that conflict is an integral part of convivial life. In this event we will delve deeper into this topic. Dr Travis Lacouter, who studies dissent within the Roman Catholic Church and is a colleague of our very own Dr Ryszard Bobrowicz, will challenge our perceptions of dissent.
Travis will focus on three types of conflict – within, with, and on behalf of religious communities – as a lead-up to a discussion on the role of faith in practice and contestation.
Speaker: Travis LaCouter, postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
Host: Ryszard Bobrowicz, interdisciplinary scholar with expertise in law, religion, and European studies and a postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven.
