About Event

Join Ralston College and friends for a morning of deep conversation on May 4th! You're invited to an intimate brunch and live podcast recording in the serene setting of Rosticceria Evelina's garden courtyard, located in the heart of Brooklyn.

As university campuses in New York and across America are rattled by protests and ideological fracture, there is no more urgent time to ask: Are campuses irretrievably broken? Is the ideal of education without indoctrination possible? Can students escape the ideological constraints that prevail among academics and administrators? Is our intellectual culture doomed to echo the stale, homogenous views of the contemporary university? What happened to Socratic dialogue, peaceful inquiry and the principled pursuit of truth?

This discussion, hosted by Ralston College founder and president Dr Stephen Blackwood, will feature the Classicist Dr David Butterfield of the University of Cambridge, along with other special guests who appreciate the urgency of these questions.

We invite you to engage in dialogue with us as we explore the challenges confronting contemporary educational institutions and the prospects for their revitalization.

Register now! Spots are limited. This venue is a 30-minute walk or 7-minute drive from the Duggal Greenhouse.
