About Event

​✨ Celebrate Latin Heritage Month with us at Tonantzin Casa de Café! ✨

On Saturday, September 21st, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, join us at Tonantzin Casa de Café for a morning of delicious cafecito and great company. This is your chance to connect, network, and make new Latina amigas in the tech industry. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, enjoy tasty atole, inspiring conversations, and new friendships as we celebrate Latin Heritage Month together.

Meet Our Venue Partner:

  • Tonantzin Casa de Café: We offer a selection of Coffee and Atole Drinks inspired in Latin American and Indigenous Preparations. We also offer light fare for breakfast and lunch. We are the place to go when you think of Latin American Coffee in Denver. Our mission is to celebrate the indigenous culture of the Southwest and Latin America through Coffee and Atole Drinks in an environment that is as safe and welcoming as home. We believe in the power of tradition and community. We believe that we can connect people by building community in a place where people can contact and make positive change. Learn more here.

Meet the Owner of Tonantzin Casa de Café:

  • Cynthia Diaz: Cynthia Diaz is the Owner/CEO of Tonantzin Casa de Café, a local Denver Coffee Shop located in the heart of the Santa Fe Art district. She is an Economist/Data Scientist who worked for companies like Kaiser Permanente and IBM where she focused on health care data and consulting. Her toolbox included R, SQL and Python.  She used applied econometric and other statistical models in these platforms to find the data informed stories that would help leaders make data driven business decisions. Cynthia also has experience as a community organizer working for the Mexico Solidarity Network on the Ni Una Mas campaign working to end femecidios in Juarez and along the border. She also worked in the Jornalero Movement in Chicago, IL, and worked with Zapatistas from Chiapas. She combined all these life experiences together to create her own company, Tonantzin Casa de Café where Indigenous and Latin American culture is celebrated through coffee and building community.
