About Event

Please join us for our September Social!

We'll gather over some food at Quinta dos Flamingos to catch up after the summer.

There's no agenda other than to re-connect, share what we've been up to, and discuss regenerative work in our community and further afield.

We'll once again be treated to a low-impact & local feast from the amazing Chef Jesus behind Frida's Fish Bar (soon to be opening in Almalda)

As before, we'll ask for 10 Euro donations towards food costs.

ICYMI on WhatsApp:

We hope you had a wonderful summer!

We did :) And in between downtime, family time, and a crazy amount of work (for August) We’ve been having ongoing discussions about Impact People's purpose and goals, and we want to share this with you.

Above all, we value this as a space to connect and share with like-minded people ‘a sul do tejo’. So, working, volunteering, or simply interested in - IMPACT - this space is for you.

Our primary message is Regeneration.

Food systems, land and sea, communities, how we consume and produce, circularity, our relationships with each other - and ourselves.

Think - ‘Less mopping up the water, more focus on turning off the tap’. We can do this through stewardship, learning, support networks - and filling our cups.

Our primary focus is to be a conduit and a connector

- Monthly gatherings will have a social focus, with plenty of time to connect, share and support.

- We will share and promote through this network (including anything we help you to promote)

- Ad hoc organised events (as we did with @regenwaves) will help us learn and get involved with local initiatives

Rather than getting overly focused on targets and outputs, we intend to put our energy into emergence (creating the best conditions for change, and then inviting people in).

---

Spread the word and share with anyone you think would make a great addition to the group. We're keen to have a balanced Portuguese to expat ratio so please bear that in mind.

Shout out to the wonderful Joana Casaca Lemos and Joe Charlesworth who are generously hosting us in their beautiful venue designed especially for collaborative gatherings, Quinta dos Flamingos in Verdizela.

This group is primarily for people based a sul do Tejo, but feel free to invite friends from elsewhere if they'd like to check out what we're up to and get involved!
